CAFE SAVANNA - ROGERSVILLE, AL

Today's Southern Day Trippers expedition carried us to the town of Rogersville, Al.  A wonderful friend of mine, Siobhan Holt, told me to check out this coffee shop.  She said it was very nice.  We went down today to have lunch at a quaint coffee shop that has been  hiding away from us for quite a while and I was just recently told about. 

It is nestled in the downtown streets of Rogersville.  It is CAFE SAVANNA.  It is a very pretty little coffee and sandwich shop that has some very good food and some southern hospitality all rolled into one.  They have wonderful coffee drinks and awesome lunches. :)

As we were going in to eat on this particular occasion we ran into the Mayor of Anderson, AL.,
Mr. B.J. Tully who told us that the CAFE SAVANNA was pretty famous for their chicken salad.  My friend, Siobhan had also told me that I had to try their chicken salad, so...........  

I decided right then that I would be having the chicken salad, and of course I knew I wanted their broccoli salad to go with it.

This is the grilled cheese sandwich and it was WONDERFUL !!!!

They have strawberry pretzel salad, but I found out it is only served on Fridays.  That is fine I will wait until a Friday to come back for that....IT IS THAT GOOD!!!!

The shop itself is really cute.....They have it decorated nicely. 

There is a beautiful mural painted on the wall outside in a patio where you can sit outside when it is pretty weather. 

Good food, good service  -- What more can you ask for.

CHAMBLEE'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT - CULLMAN, AL

Southern Day Trippers decided to take a ride down to CULLMAN, AL on

August 14, 2011.  This is a nice beautiful city full of magnificant history; sadly it was also one of the cities touched by the horrible tornadoes on April 27, 2011.  There were many shops destroyed in this terrible storm, but by the grace of God there were some that survived.   

We went to an Italian restaurant named Chamblee's on this trip.

 We had a nice lunch that day of Lasagna and Tilapia.  The service was good and the atmosphere was nice.

If you want to get out of the house for a nice drive and some Italian food, drive out to Cullman, AL and give Chamblee's a try.

CATISFACTION CAT CLINIC - MADISON, AL

 Southern Day Trippers took a trip to Madison and stopped in to visit a wonderful place in Madison called CATISFACTION.  It is a wonderful warm, fuzzy place where CATS RULE and dogs drool.  Hahaha 

If you are the lucky owner of a precious feline you might want to check out “CATISFACTION” in Madison, Alabama.   

 They have a wonderful facility to care for your feline.  They even have a play area for your feline to romp around for play time.  :) 

They have great suites with large windows for your feline family to stay in, if you need to board them on a stay away from home and they are always treated with love and care that you would want. 

Catisfaction is located less than five (5) minutes from Huntsville International Airport (HSV) and this makes it very convenient if you are traveling.  

It is never a good time to have a sick loved one, but Dr. Stephanie Gandy and her staff always provide quality care for their feline patients.  This is a veternarian who goes out of her way to make sure her patients are healthy and happy.
