TEARING DOWN THE WALLS --- OCT 27 2011

The night of October 27th will be a special night for rememberance....

A time for teachers, (past and present) alumni, students
OPEN HOUSE
5 pm-6:45 PM.

The main building will be replaced in the next 6-8 months with a new building and a group of alumni have gathered together to get this organized so that everyone who wants to walk the halls of the old building can do so before it is gone.....

Join us as we gather on this night to see our friends and remember good times of the past.

I think this is AWESOME!!!

Bring a MEMORY, Bring a FRIEND, Bring a CAMERA...
REMEMBER OLD TIMES!!!

This is the home of the Hatton Hornets -

MY ALMA MATER.

Town Creek  AL  35672

I traveled to this place at this time to make some pictures of my alma mater because before long the old building that I once walked will be torn down and replaced by a new building.

I understand that progress has to be made and this is the way of life.

It will not be easy to say goodbye to this old building that holds many years of laughter, and tears.
We built friendships here, and bonds that have held fast over the years.

GO HATTON HORNETS!!!!

This is a familiar place on the school campus.  Me and a group of friends used to sit here during break.

This is me and my oldest son, Nicklas.  He started to school at Hatton Elementary School.  Nicklas spent his life with his family in Athens, AL and finished up his school life in Athens, AL.
He graduated from Athens High School.  He still considers himself a Hatton Hornet.

**ONCE A HORNET ALWAYS A HORNET**

Check out the article in the TIMES DAILY regarding the tearing down of the building.  Another article is supposed to be coming up regarding the OPEN HOUSE soon.

Check out the group page for any alumni wanting to know about the OPEN HOUSE.

WHISTLE HOLLOW FARMS - ARDMORE, TN

I learned about a cool place to visit on a day trip from a new friend named Mari Ann. She is a sweet young lady who I meant while getting my hair done by Tammy Webster last weekend.

She told me about a farm in Tennessee that sounded fascinating....soooooooooo

This past Saturday my son, Matthew, my Dad, my brother, John  and  I took a trip north to the great state of Tennessee...the state of his grandmother, Edithel Fanning Randolph's, birth.

FOLLOW THE ARROWS TO THE FARM

We got on 1-65 and headed North towards TN, and took the exit to Ardmore.

We got into the downtown Ardmore and went west under the train overpass and took the first road to the right.  It is only three miles from this  main road in downtown Ardmore.

Turn left into the WHISTLE HOLLOW FARM
You take  a road to the right 3 miles down the road (THERE IS A SIGN THERE) You go down this road and take a left  and it will take you right there.

WHISTLE HOLLOW FARMS

The day started out with us arriving at Whistle Hollow Farms. It was a beautiful day and the farm was really cool. If you want a place to go that you can spend time with your family -- THIS IS THE PLACE.

Come out here and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and enjoy a picnic with your family or friends.  Visit their wonderful country store where they have jams and jellies and wonderful items from both neighboring states.
